The Royal
Lodge is situated a beautiful part of
England amidst rivers, lakes and woodland.
The Forest of Dean is is a great place to
unwind with long relaxing walks in
outstanding scenery.
For the
more adventurous guest there is a vast range
of adventure activities. Within walking
distance of the hotel there is canoeing,
kayaking, climbing and abseiling. Nearby
there is golf, horse riding and caving. We
will be happy to make any necessary

The
forest has miles of designated cycle routes
through the woodland including special
family routes (cycle-hire is available
locally). A sculpture trail can be found
nearby as can a high ropes course where you
can get a bird's-eye view of the woodland
scenery.
